But still, the wait for book two will be painful for me, no doubt about that. I don’t think of myself as the type of reader and reviewer who gives every book they love the full, five stars. We got pretty far into this book before we started to see the ramifications of messing with potential outcomes. Halfway through the book I knew what would happen and which reality she would choose, but the reasone she choose that reality was just plain stupid.
Their world has so much potential and she didn’t do anything about it. Who does she choose? If this place was so top secret, why were they allowed to go into the normal world? She is a searcher and is able to see alternate paths when she has to make a decision. View all 10 comments. But if this wasn’t a library book I’d borrowed I’d probably be more annoyed Kasie, I didn’t know where else to post this.

I was bored shitless! See all customer images. Loved all the different characters though probably a bit too many and how both versions of the future intertwine, like getting two different POVs oasie a single event.
Kept me on my toes the entire opint. Anonymous April 24, at 7: I think she only tolerates it for our sake. Then there was Trevor, who I was kind of hesitant about liking in the first place but definitely sort of started to fall in love with his character.
The story is about Addie’s life, period.
Even a dystopian sort of novel can become fluffy when she writes it. I loved it when he brought that movie to her house. When there is a decision to be made in Addie’s life her unique ability means she can search her future to see the possible pooint of her choices.

I don’t know why, but I pre ordered this book 3 months before it came out, and I am so glad I did. Is there something wrong with me if I admitted that I swooned for both Duke and Trevor? I love that the paranormals in this book all only have mind powers, and not the “paranormals” we’re used to seeing; vampires, faeries, etc.
Not when she could be so much better than a walking cliche. She is funny and supportive, although in some ways she is very alike other best friends in YA. Instead of saying “I know” she just said “know”.

I think this might have been explained and I probably looked over it but how did the Compound football team play against other Norm teams. Addison’s talent is that of a Divergent, the ability to see into the future and determine which path she should take.

There were so many things happening in her life, it is hard for me to pivor one that defined her. And man, I didn’t expect it to feel so refreshingbut it does. I love nothing more than being kept up until 3am finishing a novel, or reading at stoplights and in lines at the store because I HAVE to know what happens next.

Addison lives in a little community that is very different from our world. In the other she lives in the normal world with her father and again falls in love, but this time with Trevor, also a quarterback, who has been intentionally injured by Compound players. Time after time, I thought I would get lost due to the flip-flopping, but that was never the case. I was glad Addie was smart enough to think the same. Refresh and try again. Now I really have to read book two because Trevor.
