Freakonomics is therefore NOT the book that I would recommend to anyone interested in a learning economic theory, b learning about how economists think, or c understanding the world or thinking of ways to improve it. I enjoyed the first book and the podcasts so I looked forward to this book. I found this book to be quite interesting not so much for the specific examples where conventional wisdom produced results that are clearly incorrect when viewed from the economics viewpoint of the authors, but from also from the viewpoint of how to take another look at major issues that confront us to discover relationships we did not know were there.
